Deletion starts at once: data on the server is erased the moment you confirm, and the app on the device you are using returns to a fresh-install state. It cannot be undone, and there is no bin to restore from. Your other devices signed in to the same account keep the data saved on them: see Copies still on your devices in section 4.
The same section has two intermediate options, if you do not want to close the account:
If you have uninstalled the app, lost access, or simply prefer to write to us, send an email to [email protected].
We handle requests within 30 days of identity verification (Art. 12 GDPR), and we confirm by email once the deletion has been carried out.
| Data | What happens |
|---|---|
| Account and profile (email, name, profile photo, language, currency, preferences) | Permanently deleted from the server and from the device |
| Expenses, income, accounts, balances, budgets, categories, tags, payment methods, transfers, recurring entries | Permanently deleted |
| Receipt photos and profile photos stored in the cloud | Deleted from file storage, however many there are |
| Receipt line items (products, quantities, prices, subcategories) | Permanently deleted |
| Shopping lists, list items and price comparisons | Permanently deleted |
| Shared expense groups, members and splits | Deleted; if you created a group shared with other people, see section 4 |
| AI credits, balance, usage history and subscription status in our systems | Permanently deleted |
| Credit gift codes you created | Deleted; if you had redeemed someone else’s code, the reference to you is removed |
| Privacy consent records (data consents, age confirmation) | Unlinked from your account; a reduced version is kept for 5 years, see section 4 |
| The list of your linked devices | Permanently deleted |
| The Apple sign-in token (only if you signed in with Apple) | Used first to revoke the app’s access to your Apple ID, then permanently deleted |
| AI processing requests still queued or recent | Deleted together with the account |
| Local data on the phone (app database, PIN, subscription and preferences) | Wiped: the app returns to its first-install state |
| Data | Why it remains, and for how long |
|---|---|
| Expenses in groups shared with other people | They stay with the other members, but without you: before the account is deleted we sever the link between those rows and your identity. This keeps the other participants’ balances from collapsing — that data is theirs too. They remain as long as the group exists; groups left without active members are purged automatically after 30 days, or after 90 days without an active subscription covering the group. |
| A one-way hash of your email address | Not the address itself: a one-way hash computed with a secret key, from which the address cannot be reconstructed. It exists only to stop the same person claiming the welcome credits over and over by deleting and recreating an account. Kept for 6 months from the account deletion, then deleted automatically. |
| A reduced version of your consent records | Which consent was given or withdrawn, the version and language of the text, the date, and the same keyed hash of your email: no user ID, no name. It is kept for 5 years, so that we can prove a consent if it is ever disputed, then deleted automatically. |
| Technical error and crash records | Kept by our error-monitoring provider for 30 days, then deleted automatically. They do not contain the contents of your receipts. |
| Purchase receipts and payment data | In-app purchases are sold by Apple and Google: their records follow their own policies and tax law, and are outside our control. The purchase history also stays with RevenueCat, the service that manages purchases for us, linked to the pseudonymous identifier of your account (never your email or name), for as long as accounting law and the handling of disputes and refunds require. After the deletion, nothing on our side links that identifier to you any more. Our copy of your subscription status is deleted with the account. |
| Temporary technical copies (system backups, processing queues) | Deleted data may remain in the encrypted backups of our database for up to 7 days, then it is overwritten; processing queues are emptied with the account. Backups are not reachable as an account and are used only to restore the service after a fault. |
| Copies still on your devices | If you delete the account from the app, on that device the app also deletes the receipt photos, profile photos and database backups saved in its private folder. Temporary copies of photos in the phone’s cache may remain until the system clears them or you uninstall Flovvy. On your other devices signed in to the same account — and on your phone, if you ask for deletion by email — the data stays there until you uninstall the app or delete it from the app: “Delete device database” removes the data, and the database backups are deleted one by one from the “In-app backups” list (Menu → Backup → Restore from file). The app does not upload that data to a new account if you sign in again with the same email. None of it is accessible to us or to other apps. |
| Emails you sent to [email protected] | Ordinary correspondence for 24 months from the last message; requests to exercise your privacy rights and reports of illegal content or abuse, with our replies, for 5 years, so that we can show how we handled them. |
| Data required by law or to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim | Kept only if and for as long as the law requires, and used for nothing else. |

| Dato | Cosa succede |
|---|---|
| Richieste di elaborazione AI ancora in coda o recenti | Cancellate insieme all’account |
